Who are we?
The Infectious Diseases Stream is a network of SHPA members who have expertise or interest in infectious diseases, including general infectious diseases, critical care, tropical medicine, antimicrobial stewardship, antimicrobial therapeutic drug monitoring, surgical prophylaxis, HIV and sexual health.
Why join?
Join the Infectious Diseases Interest Group if you want to access our network of infectious diseases experts and peers through the Infectious Diseases Discussion Forum. You don’t need to specialise in infectious diseases to join the Infectious Diseases Interest Group.

If you are an experienced infectious diseases pharmacist, why not apply to join the Infectious Diseases Practice Group. Belonging to the Infectious Diseases Practice Group gives you all the benefits of the Infectious Diseases Interest Group, plus opportunities to support members of the Infectious Diseases Interest Group and contribute to important SHPA work relating to infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship – including SHPA submissions and education.
Members of the Infectious Diseases Practice Group are also eligible to nominate for election to the Infectious Diseases Leadership Committee.
