Who are we?

The Women’s and Newborn Health Stream is a network of SHPA members with interests across the fields of obstetrics, gynaecology, and neonatology.

We promote the health and wellbeing of women and newborns by improving medication management across all aspects of

women’s health – covering menarche to menopause and medicine use in pregnancy and breastfeeding; and

neonatal medicine – covering healthy newborns to those who require special and intensive care.

This stream is also highly relevant to those who work in medicines information or paediatrics. Those involved in caring for newborns are encouraged to also join the Paediatrics and Neonatology stream.

Why join?
