Who are we?

The Emergency Medicine Stream is a network of SHPA members who work in emergency medicine or related areas such as toxicology, pre-hospital care, disaster and retrieval medicine.

Why join?

Join the Emergency Medicine Interest Group if you want to access our network of emergency medicine experts and peers through the Emergency Medicine Discussion Forum. You don’t need to specialise in emergency medicine to join the Emergency Medicine Interest Group.

To view the self enrolment option for the Emergency Medicine Interest Group, please enter the username and password for your Online CPD account* (created for you by SHPA)

*Please contact specialtypractice@shpa.org.au if you are unable to see the self enrolment option or need assistance with your Online CPD account details.

If you are an experienced ED pharmacist, why not apply to join the Emergency Medicine Practice Group. Belonging to the Emergency Medicine Practice Group gives you all the benefits of the Emergency Medicine Interest Group, plus opportunities to support members of the Emergency Medicine Interest Group and contribute to important SHPA work relating to emergency medicine – including Standard of Practice in Emergency Medicine for Pharmacy Services, SHPA submissions relevant to emergency medicine, and SHPA emergency medicine education.

Members of the Emergency Medicine Practice Group are also eligible to nominate for election to the Emergency Medicine Leadership Committee.
